ABOUT US
Home Shield was founded in 2000 by James Cuomo. James is a local Firefighter and Paramedic in Palm Beach County. James started working in the hurricane protection business shortly after Hurricane Andrew. Originally starting as a helper for a local company, James quickly learned the business and moved up to installer, then sub contractor and finally applied & passed the contractors test to become licensed to open his own company: Home Shield Hurricane Shutters, Inc. James prides himself by instilling in Home Shield the same attributes learned in the Fire Departments such as honesty, integrity and strength of character.
Home Shield offers only the highest quality products and does not commit to any specific supplier. We continually search the market place for the latest Improvements and upgrades that we can in turn offer our clients. Due to the fact that we fabricate our own shutters on site, we have complete control over the quality and timeline of production. Please feel free to visit our site for a tour and brief education on the shutter business!
Home Shield is committed to honesty and integrity. We train our staff to avoid any high pressure sales techniques. We can tailor your project using a wide range of products, in any combination, to meet your economic and aesthetic needs.
Importantly, Home Shield is a drug-free workplace that does not use subcontractors or unlicensed installers. Every installer is one of the 20 employees of Home Shield and is covered under our Workers Compensation Insurance (see FYI to see how this affects you).
Home Shield is versatile enough to complete large commercial projects and high-rises, as well as single family residences. Please contact us now to see how we can meet your protection needs!
